    Clean Air Power has recently announced it has executed an agreement to obtain approximately $2.6m between May 2013 and October 2014 to produce, demonstrate and refine a commercially viable Genesis EDGE Dual-Fuel™ product for the US market. Based on the assumption that the current program timeline and deliverables are met, the majority of the funds are expected to be received by December 31 2013.

The Nat G 500 Series is built around a world-class compressor provided by Sauer Compressors USA.

    The company announced the Ford CNG Transit Connect 2.0L models reduced price is $6,200 installed with 8.9 GGE CNG tank and $7,599 installed with 17.8 GGE CNG tank. In addition, the Ford CNG F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickup truck models reduced price is $7,779 installed with 15.7 GGE CNG tank and $8,350 installed with 21.2 GGE CNG tank.

    With the help of a recent $3 million Department of Energy grant, Texas A&M University chemist Hongcai Joe Zhou and his team are collaborating with automobile giant GM, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Research Triangle Institute (RTI) to figure out how to take a more cost-efficient fuel tank from concept to reality. According to Zhou, solving the technical hurdles related to natural gas storage will be necessary to drive a nationwide shift from petroleum to cleaner-burning fuels.

The Cutaway Van, Utility Service Body, Bed Delete, and Isuzu NPR trucks are configured for delivery, transportation, industrial and vocational truck service.

    To serve the Canadian market, the company is opening the Westport's Windsor Integration Centre (WWIC) in Ontario with trucks expected to be ready for delivery to customers by late June 2013. Built at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant, the F-Series Super Duty trucks will be shipped to the 20,000 square feet WWIC for installation of the bi-fuel CNG/gasoline Westport WiNG Power System. Once installed, trucks will be shipped to customers using Ford's single-ship through transportation system, offering customers efficiencies and cost savings in vehicle delivery.

    3M announced it has successfully completed the NGV2-2007 certification process for its first compressed natural gas tank, designed for light- and medium-duty pick-up trucks and corporate fleet vehicles. The 21.5 x 60 inch tank capitalizes on improvements in geometries and proprietary 3M™ Matrix Resin featuring nanosilica technology to deliver a solution that is lighter, offers greater capacity, and is more cost effective than similar tanks.
